Sunday 3rd October -
Winkleigh.
'41st West of England Transport Collection
Winkleigh Historic Transport Gathering'.
Winkleigh Airfield, Nr Oakhampton, Devon.
The last rally of the year for the Yelloway Mobile Museum
and what a
wonderful place to finish on.
Winkleigh is just a transport
enthusiasts paradise!.
~~~~~
After two weeks of glorious weather in Torquay it had to go
and rain at Winkleigh!. Nevertheless, although it kept many
people away the
atmosphere was still terrific.
|
'The West Country Historic Omnibus & Transport Trust
Museum' and 'The Yelloway Museum' provided interesting
shelter from the elements!. |
10th November 2004
Rochdale Rotary Club Meeting
As a fitting finale to the rally season I was most pleased
to have been invited
to give a talk about Yelloway to members of the Rochdale
Rotary Club
on Thursday 14th October 2004. It was a great honour for
me because
Hubert Allen O.B.E., J.P. the former Yelloway Chairman
and Managing Director
was President of the club in 1968 after being a member
there since 1956.
The museum was on display and all Rotary Club members
took great interest in it.
