RALLY MEMORIES
2004

Sunday 3rd October - Winkleigh.
'41st West of England Transport Collection
Winkleigh Historic Transport Gathering'.
Winkleigh Airfield,  Nr Oakhampton, Devon.

The last rally of the year for the Yelloway Mobile Museum
and what a wonderful place to finish on.
 Winkleigh is just a transport enthusiasts paradise!.

~~~~~
After two weeks of glorious weather in Torquay it had to go and rain at Winkleigh!. Nevertheless, although it kept many people away the
 atmosphere was still terrific.
 'The West Country Historic Omnibus & Transport Trust Museum' and 'The Yelloway Museum' provided interesting shelter from the elements!.
Has this former Ribble Leyland, fleet No. 753, found it's final resting place?.
 I would like to say a great big
THANK YOU to all people who kindly
gave a donation at Exeter, Torquay and Winkleigh in aid of the
Yelloway Museum's appeal for funds for
 The Children's Hospice South West, Barnstaple.
A total of £97. 57p was raised.
10th November 2004
Rochdale Rotary Club Meeting
As a fitting finale to the rally season I was most pleased to have been invited
to give a talk about Yelloway to members of the Rochdale Rotary Club
 on Thursday 14th October 2004. It was a great honour for me because
 Hubert Allen O.B.E., J.P. the former Yelloway Chairman and Managing Director
 was President of the club in 1968 after being a member there since 1956.
 The museum was on display and all Rotary Club members took great interest in it.
Many thanks to Mr Christopher Bryning for making this visit possible.
With the 2004 rally season now over for the Yelloway Mobile Museum I would
 like to thank all Enthusiasts, General Public and Rally Organisers
 who helped to make this seasons rallies so worthwhile to visit.
