Magical History Tour

Livermead House Hotel
Seafront - Torquay - Devon

95 years ago the very first motor char-a-banc set off from Rochdale, Lancashire on a pioneering 2 day rickety journey to South Devon where it's passengers (which included 13 year old Rochdale lass Gracie Fields who went onto become the worlds highest paid female entertainer) spent two blissful weeks in Torquay at the luxurious Livermead House Hotel.

The ground-breaking road journey/holiday, which was orchestrated by Mr. Robert Holt founder of "Yelloway Coach Services", paved the way for millions of holidaymakers from the industrial North West of England to enjoy luxury motor coach holidays in the paradise surroundings of Torquay and the West Country.

This will be the 5th year running that the popular Yelloway Mobile Museum has been invited to be displayed at this prestige hotel where motor coach history was made 95 years ago. Many thanks to Mr. Tim Rew, Managing Director of Rew Hotels, for kindly hosting this event once again.
