There was a display of 1960s buses at the Bury Transport Museum including the newly arrived, beautifully restored Rochdale Corporation Regent lll No. 235, HDK 835.

In addition to Bertie the Bus, out for Thomas event, there was a rare opportunity to see the 3 "Rochdale" vehicles on display at the Bury Transport Museum on Saturday afternoon. The Rochdale Corporation Bus operated in Rochdale, Bury and Manchester between 1951 and 1969 and the Yelloway and Ellen smith Coaches operated nationwide from their Rochdale bases in the 1960s to 1980s.

ALSO, a photo shot was planned for Bury Museum on Saturday pm 3 August when Ellen Smith Grenadier CDK 448 C arrives for an overnight stay prior to the Trans Pennine Rally on Sunday 4 August. The Yelloway Museum may also appear with Ellen Smith Grenadier at Birch Services on 4 Aug and run through to Rochdale town Centre with the parade.
