Good Friday 6th April 2007

The eagerly awaited inaugurate excursion to the Fylde Coast by the New Yelloway Motor Services Ltd. created another exciting chapter in the illustrious history of this highly respected company. The Fylde Coast Service had been synonymous with YellowaY for over 70 years and it's a service that many people will love to welcome back.

A15 YEL
arrives at Rochdale Town Hall to await the official send off.

....and on a beautiful sunny morning (what else for YellowaY?) A15 YEL departs on her journey to Blackpool-Cleveleys and Fleetwood but..
.

....it could not leave Rochdale without stopping to pay respect outside the  former Yelloway Motor Services Ltd. Coach Station site at Weir Street...

....where, underneath the offices of former YellowaY Chairman Mr. Hubert Allen O.B.E..

....the memories of those wonderful bygone coaching days were rekindled with nostalgia..
.

....A15 YEL passes the former YellowaY Coach Station on Central Drive Blackpool where they operated 1928/1947....

....and where this scene depicts a YellowaY London departure in 1930

Driver Jim Pemberton guides the coach into Lonsdale Road Coach Station, Blackpool where there was a great surprise awaiting former YellowaY driver...

....and now Blackpool resident, Mr. Bernard Dickinson. Bernard's wife Barbara had secretly arranged a trip for him in the new coach from Blackpool....

....and Bernard (left) was highly delighted at the thought of travelling on a luxury YellowaY coach once again and also in the future!

Bernard is ready to board for his surprise trip
